In 2006 the REDA partners contracted a review of the oil and gas industry in west central Saskatchewan. The purpose of this review was to assist the partnership in developing a strategy to encourage and assist further development of this sector.

Priority was placed on determining the obstacles faced by the industry in locating and doing business in this region and in the province of Saskatchewan.

This website and REDA service priorities to the industry are a result of that report.

Two separate reports were done, one for the (primarily) heavy oil region covering the Maidstone/Macklin/Wilkie/Battlefords region. The second report covers the Kindersley/Kerrobert area. The differences are minor.
